Christmas season is the perfect time for couch potatoes to do the things they do best but then God knows why mid-season break exists.

I don’t really get to watch TV at all since film school is just eating me up with all the writing, projects and shit, add the pressure of watching a serious amount of movies so that when a professor talks about a certain flick you wouldn’t look stupid in discussions. I end up leaving my laptop at home, in my room, on my wild desk, turned on with pending downloads of TV shows I and movies I need to watch but then they’re one of the stupid reasons why I am having a jaded Christmas break. Why? Simply because they’re all on a stupid hiatus. Shit happens.

I really don’t understand why they have to show 4 episodes of this high-budget and controversial 80s remake when they plan to show episode 5 on the 30^th of March. WTF? Seriously? I mean, c’mon!  Scott Wolf (yeah Bailey the alcoholic Salinger from Party of Five) gets a job after The Nine (which no one watched). By the way if all aliens looked like Laura Vandervoort I bet we wouldn’t be bothered by getting a visit. I still couldn’t quite comprehend why they show 4 episodes and promise to return after 4 months…WALA NA BANG MAS BIBITIN PA DUN?!!

Bored To Death

I miss them. Jason Schwartzman’s role fits him for some weird reason and I must say Ted Danson (Cheers) on this show works! He’s actually really funny on this one since I found Becker a little meh. Zach Galifianakis drives me crazy with the peculiar situations he gets into (like finding out that the sperm he gave a lesbian couple was sold to another lesbian couple) plus it is nice to see Olivia Thirlby (Juno) in it once in a while.

HBO renewed the show for another season by I have no idea when it’ll be back and if it is on its mid-season break since they’ve shown only 8 episodes so far.

The Vampire Diaries

Yeah Yeah, Fuck it I know what you’re thinking. Another vamp show ‘eh?! Well too bad, it is actually good. I have to admit this show made me cry a few times and I have to thank Kevin Williamson of Dawson’s Creek fame for that (I still don’t know why ABC didn’t pick up Wasteland for a full season, I really liked that show, they didn’t really give it a chance). Paul Wesley wasn’t really kicking it for me during the pilot since I thought he was just blonde and tall (probably I was having a hard time stopping myself from comparing him with Robert Pattinson of Twilight…duh?: PALE + THIN = VAMPIRE MATERIAL and Stephen Moyer of True Blood: OLD + WEIRD VOCABULARY = VAMPIRE MATERIAL) but he’s growing on me now and I am totally rooting for him.

I’m glad they won’t be gone for long. Stefan, Elena and Damon will be back on January 21, 2010.

Gossip Girl

Don’t you guys miss them? I know but they’re kinda getting on my nerves too since Season 3 was really getting fuckin’ dull, good thing the threesome (yeah with Lizzie McGwire in it) sorta saved it. Season 3 made me realized that Blake Lively’s character Serena has S as her nickname for a reason. SHE’ A STUPID SLUT! I heard being stupid and a slut at the same time sucks but then again even if you guys are starting to hate the shiz that’s going on you guys still want to know what’s going to happen next especially with the apparition of the supposedly dead mother of Chuck (Ed Westwick) you guys are still probably going to watch it when it returns on March 8, 2010. Xoxo.

Glee

This one I really don’t get. Why in the world would FOX stop airing it at its peak for the season just to give way to American Idol. I wonder if they’ll return with a 4 months after plot and if that happens, Quinn’s (Dianna Agron) belly should be huge by then. I still can’t believe they’ll be back on April 13, 2010. Damn. Anyway, good news for them they recently got nominated for 4 Golden Globes for Best Comedy/Musical Series plus Best Actor - Matthew Morrison (Mr. Shuster), Best Actress - Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) and Best Supporting Actress - Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester) so CONGRATULATIONS (tunog Wowowee)!!!!

Well I admire those people who don’t watch these TV shows right away and simply wait for syndications by cable channels…at least they don’t get to wait as long.
